My great grandfather, who preceded me in Congress by about 90 years, added the words under God to the Pledge of Allegiance back in the 1950s. So We just celebrated the 72nd anniversary [of the addition of 'under God' to the Pledge of Allegiance]. That bill was signed into law on flag day in 1954 by President Eisenhower. And I now have the privilege of serving in the exact same office my great grandfather occupied when he was a member of Congress back then. (01:25–01:34)
