These legislators and the people of Minnesota made a decision back in 2023 that we were going to use data and research and make things safer for people. So We passed enhanced background checks making sure that people who shouldn't have guns don't get them. And we passed something called an extreme risk protection order. And as pastor said, a lot of these deaths are suicides by firearms, and they're in greater Minnesota, in many cases across the state. (11:10–11:15)
