This year I proposed to cut the statewide sales tax for the first time in our state history because we can all use a little relief at the checkout counter. This budget also includes $33 million for permanent supportive housing. to make sure that everyone has a safe place to live, and 34 million to help first time home buyers afford that down payment so that everybody in Minnesota gets a shot at the American dream.
