And I think that's important because in the military, if someone does something bad, we punish them immediately. If they do something good, it takes us years to eventually give them. I mean, Ripley was awarded as Medal of Honor after he was dead three weeks ago. Fifty years, 60 years after he carried out one of the most heroic acts in the history of the American military. So the gap between how we reward good behavior and punish bad behavior is far too wide. And that does have an impact when you get your award. (04:40–04:49)
