FULL SPEECH: Senator Tim Scott Reflects on MLK Jr., Rosa Parks & More - 05/17/26

Published | Video Starts at 03:19

Can I get an amen? Saving principles. Stand by those principles. Be true to them on all occasions, in all places, against all foes, and at whatever the cost. The civil rights movement succeeded not simply because of lobbying in the halls of Congress. It succeeded because the church found itself on its knees before a gracious, loving, amazing God. Bomb. Churches did not silence the worship. It amplified the worship. The heroes of the civil rights movement sang before they marched. They prayed before they protested. (03:19–03:35)

CLAIM
