I offered this bill six months ago, and we got four Republicans to vote with every Democrat to pass the bill. Unfortunately, The House wouldn't take it up. But that was when the tariffs had been announced. They hadn't even bit into people's pocketbooks yet. Now that is happening. Building supplies going up, food prices going up, energy costs going up.
