We just passed the annual Defense Bill, which includes a pay raise for service members, funding for military construction in Virginia, and investments in our shipbuilding programs. And It also includes my bipartisan legislation to repeal the 1991 and 2002 Authorizations for Use of military force, thus formally ending the Iraq wars. After many years, the passage of this legislation means we can close this painful chapter in our nation's history. I know there are still so many more challenges. (01:37–01:50)
