The vast majority of Medal Honor recipients, they receive the Medal posthumously. In most of the instances, they lose their lives demonstrating extraordinary heroism and bravery. Under existing law, Medal of Honor recipients receive a monthly stipend of $1,400 a month. That's not very much money. Yeah, that's not at all what the Metals act did is essentially triple that amount. So it increased it from $1,400 a month to $5,600 a month. (00:45–00:54)
