And I want to be clear about something. D.C. is qualitatively different. So there's a statute, long standing statute, called Posse Comitatus. Posse Comitatus bars the use of the US military for civilian law enforcement except when authorized by the Constitution or another provision of federal law. And so if, if the President were to do this in New York City or Chicago, there would certainly be a challenge under Posse Comitatus that using the military for, for law enforcement violates that.
