That's why I hope that this committee supports the Halt Fentanyl act, an act to permanently classify fentanyl related substances as Schedule 1 under the Controlled Substances Act. Fentanyl and its analogs are extraordinarily powerful and extraordinarily destructive. Congress and the American people don't talk enough about fentanyl's dangerousness.
