And as county attorney, I have the unique position because I am a black woman and I know that people, black and brown people in the community, often feel unsafe. I plan on bringing law enforcement and the black and brown and lower economic communities together to bridge that gap so that at the end of the day, everyone feels safe. Police officers need to feel safe and have confidence when they pull someone over, but yet people who are getting pulled over need to feel safe as well. (05:38–05:49)
