We know that Lake Mead provides 90% of Las Vegas drinking water supply. The Colorado river has been and continues to be unsustainably low. Nearly 40 million people rely on the Colorado River. Western drought plus other factors have dropped the river's flow by one third in recent years compared to historical averages. But we also depend on the Colorado river for a power supply which certainly compounds this crisis. And residents across the valley are telling me about how concerned they are on this crisis.
