We're seeing transnational criminal organizations funnel some $70 billion of illicit proceeds annually back into their criminal operations. Police departments across Nevada and the country are working hard to combat organized retail crime. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has even established its own organized retail crime unit. But the scale of this problem is way too big for individual police departments alone. And that's why I'm grateful to be here today with my colleagues of both chambers of both parties. (01:26–01:34)
