She studied and documented the role of black performers in desegregating Las Vegas, expanding worker rights, and the continued fight for equality. But her positive impact on our community doesn't end there. She is the founder of the Las Vegas Black Historical Society, a hub for those to learn more about the Valley's black community. She's held numerous leadership roles at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and she is past president of the Southwest Oral History Association. (00:36–00:45)
