As part of this effort, Russian forces have abducted and forcibly relocated thousands of Ukrainian children to Russian occupied and affiliated areas in complete Violation of Article 2e of the Genocide Convention. The Russian objective is clear, to wipe out the young generations of Ukrainians by attempting to eradicate their sense of national and cultural identity. In response to this atrocity, a bipartisan group of colleagues in the United States House of Representatives and I introduced a resolution at the end of the previous Congress condemning Russia's mass abduction of Ukrainian children and stating that these actions amount to genocide.
