And that includes the exorbitantly high cost of prescription drugs. That's why I am so proud of the big win that we got last year in the fight to lower drug prices. It has been almost one year since we passed the Inflation Reduction Act, a bill that caps the cost of insulin for seniors, empowers Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices and more. And now we're seeing these wins begin to go into effect. As of July 1, 2023, insulin costs are capped at $35 per month for Americans on Medicare. (00:00–01:37)
