All the statewide electeds were Democrat. The legislature was 2/3 Democrat when Mike and I both served in the state House. And yet when we were in college, We had the largest college Republican chapter in the nation because we were trying to galvanize people against what was happening in our state. Bad policies running people out of Louisiana and you know, the shadow of Huey Long that still runs around some today. (06:00–06:08)
