Because we're a nation of laws. What we saw on January 6 was a rejection of law, a rejection of democracy, a rejection of the truth. And we need to get at that. Our Republican friends are suggesting that we look at every demonstration that occurred last year, almost all of which were peaceful. There were some people in those demonstrations that did things that were not peaceful and were violations of law, and they ought to be investigated by the local police, the state police, and, yes, even the FBI, if necessary.
