Tonette and I still have a son at the University of Wisconsin and we appreciate the freeze just like families do all across the state. Now, During the decade before our freeze, tuition went up 118%. Ironically, some of the people who were around when the UW tuition went up by more than 8% on average each year now want the state to create a new government bureaucracy to refinance student loans.
