My mom was a teaching assistant for children with special needs and was there when Act 10 passed. We stripped union bargaining rights away from teachers and teaching of her and she saw what has happened since then. The number of teaching assistants that were in classrooms for children with special needs has gone down dramatically. We are not meeting the needs of our kids when we do not respect teachers with salary and with benefits that they deserve. This is going to push teachers into other professions. (1:06:32–1:06:39)
