My dad was the commander of his American Legion post and I tried to take that with me into my adult life. And so after college I joined the Peace Corps. I was a Peace Corps volunteer working on HIV, AIDS and reproductive health in Samoa in the South Pacific. And I am my daughter's Girl Scout leader as well as we volunteer at the Humane Society walking dogs and they actually have horses and goats and we do the barn chores every Sunday night.
