I think a lot of folks voted yes for the right reasons, and I'm not casting aspersions on them. To my mind, the reason that I voted no is that Sales taxes are regressive. The poorest households in Milwaukee county are going to be paying seven times more as a percentage of their income than our richest households. And that's really inequitable, and that's not something that I could get behind unless we had a specific plan on how to spend those dollars. (00:42–00:52)
