To get away with protected speech in public for setting up illegal encampments on a university property for weeks? So I want to be really clear here. Chancellors can allow students to be in public spaces in tents or on towels or however they want. It is not illegal. State law gives chancellors the ability to allow students to express themselves and yes, to make an encampment where they set up a library, at a cafeteria, and yes, have signs which challenge the status quo.
