It's because education is primarily a local and state function and the federal government really has no role whatsoever to play in it. One of the roles they played when they federalized student loans to pay for Obamacare. We've now enticed our children to collectively incur $1.7 trillion worth of debt. It hasn't improved education whatsoever, hasn't improved education outcomes. So, you know, the Department of Education is just wasting money. So shut it down. I completely support that. (01:36–01:42)
