We were actually coming well out of it by the end of 2020. We certainly didn't need the Inflation Reduction act, which sparked 40 year high inflation. Last five years we've averaged $6.5 trillion. Last year we spent 6.9 [trillion]. This year we'll probably spend about $7 trillion. You know, Mr. Antoni, is there any justification for maintaining this level of spending now? The pandemic is over, Senator? I suppose that depends on how much waste, fraud and abuse, abuse you're willing to tolerate. (02:59–03:02)
