The Crane Creek M1 canal flow restoration Project, which was led by the St. Johns River Water Management District and local partners, fixes this problem by adding a new wear pump stations, a pipeline and stormwater treatment area. We have one, restored the natural westward flow to the St. John river basin. Two, reduced nutrient pollution, keeping an estimated 24,000 pounds of nitrogen and 3,100 pounds of phosphorus out of the lagoon each year and provided up to 7 million gallons of fresh water per day for downstream users without over reliance on our aquifers.
