In June of this year, FDLE and Suwannee County Sheriff's offices seized enough fentanyl to, as I mentioned, do significant damage in their county. So the SAFE program is working. This is something that we need to continue going. Last year, I recommended an additional $20 million so that we could keep our safe program operational. Now, the legislature did fund some of it, but not all of it. They funded $13 million. But this is something that absolutely deserves support in the next legislative session. So we have 7.7 million committed to active contracts. There's now about 5 million that are left for new contracts. (18:01–18:16)
CLAIM
Asserts that $13 million was funded for the SAFE program, less than the $20 million recommended.
