And it's interesting because if you look, they passed this in the 1860s, you had Indian tribes in the United States. Obviously, we still do today. And In the 1920s, Congress passed a statute saying that Native Americans born in the United States were citizens of the United States. And the question is, well, why would they have done that if 14th amendment was birthright citizenship for anyone who's here, regardless of the circumstances? (04:21–04:31)
