“According to our Constitution, the power to redistrict lies entirely with the state legislature. The courts should be the last resort. Actually, in their December opinion, the justices wrote in paragraph four, The Legislature has the primary authority and responsibility to draw new legislative maps. See Wisconsin Constitution, Article 4, Section 3. Accordingly, we urge the legislature to pass legislation creating new maps that satisfy all requirements of state and federal law.” (00:15–00:21)
