The high brackets were way too high. There were an often awful lot of times where, when I was in economic development before joining the legislature, where Companies would come in and say, you know, when it comes down to Ohio versus these other states, we're simply not going to choose Ohio because of their tax environment. and because of the fact that we're going to be taxed too much. And it's not just the state taxes, it's a layering of taxes even at the local level that just make the burden way too high. (16:53–17:03)
