At the lack of nutrition training in medical schools, a decade old problem first identified by the American Medical association in the 1960s when my uncle was president. Successive administrations have recognized and acknowledged that problem. The Trump administration finally did something about it. President Trump directed us to change course under his Make America Health Again agenda. We're putting nutrition education at the forefront of medicine and prevention at the forefront of health care. We're training future physicians to address the root causes of diseases, not simply manage their consequences. (30:46–30:57)
