For years, Lyme disease patient President Trump has changed all this, began changing it during his first term by making Lyme disease a national priority. In 2019, President Trump signed the K. Hagan Tick act, creating the first national strategy to prevent and control vector borne diseases in America. Under that law, HHS expanded research, strengthened innovation and advanced public private collaborations. I recently called on Congress to reauthorize the TIC Act.
