Want to thank the chairman very much for working with me and your staff, working with my staff to address a crisis that we're having in the state of West Virginia, specifically the southern coal fields. West Virginia faces currently one of the worst water crisis in America. 29% of the state's public water systems have health based Safe Drinking water Act violations, three times the national average. And nearly 80% of the entire state have some form of violation. Between 2016 and 2024, nearly 1 million West Virginians, about half of the state's population, were served by systems violating federal standards. (00:16–00:36)
