And the importance of that, I think, is highlighted by the fact that Springfield played a role in the establishment of our Constitution. Shays Rebellion at the corner of State and Federal street occurred. They were generally former soldiers of George Washington. He was appalled but forgiving of what had happened. And it convinced him to essentially come out of retirement and embrace a strong central government and a constitution for the United States of America. (02:02–02:08)
