But, you know, I, early on, I'm an alum of Head Start, which is a good federal program which exposes young children, poor children, to literacy, develops in them a love of learning and reading. And then when I was in high school, I was on a program called Upward Bound, which came out of the Great Society programs of the 1960s. put me on a college campus as a young person and helped me to know that I belonged there.
