So since then, anyone who was working on behalf of democracy or women's rights in Afghanistan now has to live in fear for their lives again. Among those are lawyers, prosecutors in particular, who stood for justice. Estimates are that at least 1500 of these attorneys remain in the country. Many, if not most, frankly, if not all, live in hiding. Many have been killed already. So I have been working with the association of prosecuting attorneys, the APA, on a project called prosecutors for prosecutors. (05:54–06:00)
