The operator of a ferry between Seattle and Victoria, B.C. has been forced to lay off now a quarter of its workforce because ridership is down 30% in my state. Americans are losing their jobs and our businesses are struggling. And I just really believe, Mr. Ambassador, we should not be picking fights with our close allies and neighbors like Canada.
