And that's why so many of us have fought so hard to boost nih funding. Between 2017 and 2023, we were able to increase NIH funding to support more than six additional grants for research on childhood cancer, on dementia, on many other terrible diseases. And not that now that that was only possible because our overall non defense budget was growing.
