Now tourism growth benefits all West Virginians. Last year alone, tourism generated 1.1 billion in tax revenue. It's pretty amazing. With more than $619 million going directly to state and local governments, Visitor spending reduced the tax burden on residents by nearly $859 per household. And I'm told tourism now supports over 61,000 direct jobs. That's about 15% of the economy. And that doesn't include all the restaurants and the other ancillary businesses that really rely on it.
