So let's go over what must pass this session for us to consider this a win for Texas kids. I want to be clear. This is, this is the bare minimum. This is what we Expect must pass. SB12 is a strong parental rights bill. It will prohibit discussions of sex and gender ideology in the classroom and reinstate the requirements for parents to opt their children into sex education. Look, this is passed the Senate and right now it's in public education. We need that to be voted out. SB13, authored by Senator Angela Paxton, would remove sexually explicit books from our school libraries. (00:56–01:09)
