In addition, we recognize Elder Abuse Awareness Month during the entire month of June. Nearly 25% of our state's population is over the age of 60. National studies have shown that about 1 in 10 seniors is a victim of elder abuse. Sadly, that's nearly 300,000 Ohioans. Elder abuse can take many forms. (00:26–00:32)
