That's why I introduced the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes on Imported Goods Act. This bill states clearly that The International Emergency Economic Powers act cannot be used to place taxes on imports. If the President needs to block a dangerous product, he still can under my legislation. But if there is a real threat, I think we'd want to stop it, not just tax it. (04:19–04:28)
