Mayor Wu's Executive Order To Protect Bostonians From Unconstitutional, Violent Federal Operations

Published | Video Starts at 00:19

We will not allow the birthplace of American democracy to be knocked off our path by those who have turned their backs on our founding principles. I signed an executive order instructing city departments to take a range of actions to protect our residents and make clear that we will hold accountable anyone who commits violence, property damage or any criminal conduct in the city of Boston, including federal officials. Our first responders are trained extensively to de escalate tense situations and keep people safe and this order makes clear that they will follow that training in the event of federal immigration enforcement as well.
