Instead of having area median income, we need local median income that would actually make sure that we're not including Westchester, Rockland, and Suffolk county when actually making our calculations for truly affordable housing. We need to have a federal universal childcare because that will allow us to make sure that our communities are actually safe and secure. We need to make sure that we're protecting what's going on in public housing with NYCHA and hold people accountable who are actually not making sure we have truly safe, affordable public housing.
