And really being in a unionized workplace, in my opinion, is one of the ways that people get into the middle class. There are two major federal legislations, acts, laws that created the middle class. One is the National Labor Relations Act that enabled workers to organize for better wages, better workplace conditions. The other is the GI Bill.
