And it's why as governor, I've prioritized investments in reading and in literacy. Together, working with the legislature, we've doubled funding for our public schools since taking office. We created literacy launch and signed landmark literacy legislation to make sure our students and our teachers have access to the best evidence based reading materials. We launched high dose literacy tutoring in our schools so that students can receive one on one tutoring.
