I think as elected officials, we need to ensure that we're empowering the right leadership at the department, which we have right now, to create reforms in policing to meet the needs of community. He's already doing, and actually under Ed Krause as well, They've created programs that are working, that are quietly changing the rhetoric, changing the way we work with community members. If a community is telling you they don't trust police, then you have to believe them.
