I'm proud to have supported two major border security bills that were signed into law by President Trump to increase Border Patrol funding, fight drug trafficking, and secure our border, even though some in my own party did not support those things. I voted for over a billion dollars to build a wall on our southern border. I also voted for Kate's Law to increase criminal penalties for violent criminals who reenter the U.S. illegally after being deported. I was one of about 24 Democrats who voted for that. (32:46–32:53)
