I don't think this is an opportunity for our Republican colleagues to say no to the slush fund. I think it's their duty to say no to this slush fund. It is a misappropriation by someone who does not have the power to appropriate taxpayer dollars for his own purposes with no congressional authorization, no congressional oversight. I think it is the duty of every member of Congress to say no, not just to this overstepping of authority, but in this moment, absolutely to this misuse of taxpayer dollars and misuse of power.
