We went to hospitals and when the power goes out, doctors literally take out their cell phones and use the light from their cell phones to finish a surgery. When we were there, it was the second countrywide blackout they had in Cuba. So for 42 hours when we were there, they had no power. It came on for about an hour and a half and it went down again.
